A first!
Without much thinking, when my boss asked what I had planned for the fall, I said I might be leaving. No, not leaving Madison but leaving my job. In fact, I went on to tell her, I've already started looking. This is complete stupidity on my part. Never in my life had I EVER given more than the courtesy two-week notice nor have I ever declared that I'm leaving without another job lined up. However, I trust my boss and I know that it takes months to train someone for my position. Nonetheless, it was a STUPID move. A move that this inner-city girl, this fighter, this survivor, would not have made before living in Madison. I've become soft. Damn.
