I think I have a new favorite hobby now and that is dumpster diving. Me and Edwin went late last night, around midnight. We're (for sure) bringing gloves and wearing jeans next time. We found two awesome/useful things: an old clunker of a computer, and a really cool, multicolored lamp. The base of the lamp is totally ruined and can't stand up on its own, so we're going to Home Depot in a little bit and hoping that a bit of cement will fix it. As for the computer? There was a video card, processor, and RAM. The processor is going on ebay for $10, the video card is currently a mystery, and the RAM for $40. The thing was ridiculously heavy, but Edwin carried all the way home and then took it apart in our kitchen. :)
I'm honestly super stoked to do this again next weekend/the weekend after because it'll be right at the end of the month when people are moving out of their apartments. We really, desperately need a) a table, b) chairs, c) shelves, d) more lights. Plus, any extra cash we can get selling miscellaneous items on ebay would be amazing. Even if Edwin is starting to get more hours at work, and even if I am starting a new job next month, an extra $50 for two hours of dumpster diving could be really nice.
On a different note I ended up making the most awesome thing to hold my earrings. I took an old picture frame, hot glued some mesh to the back, and tacked a string to the top so that I could hang it from the wall. Now I can actually find my earrings and switch them out. A few are still missing partners from the move (like my pizza slices! Waaaa), so I am hoping they will turn up once we can unpack more (aka, when we have furniture again).

The ruined base of our new light, which can hopefully be fixed.
The light itself. It's dusty and needs new bulbs, but it's cute. Plus, it matches Edwin's desk. :3
My new earring holder! Yay! It surprisingly works amazingly well.
