3:30 in the morning and I just got home from work. I think everything is going well, I did all the closing stuff on my own (we won't discuss why my trainer disappeared) and I only had a little help with making margaritas (turns out everyone makes them different so I blended some different recipes)
Everything is closed and I'm finishing my shift beer around the fire when one of the regulars, who will remain unnamed because he tips well and drinks lots, asks me "Why are you doing this job?"
I respond with "it's good money and I like it."
"Because you really suck at it." he says.
ASSHOLE. Don't you know I'm still in training? And if I really suck at it why are all my coworkers and other customers giving me praise? Just because your "I bartended for 15 years at a busy club in XYZ town" ass decides to come in right before last call and judge me on how well I hustle my customers doesn't like how well I do my job doesn't mean I suck at it.
The shittiest part? Next time he comes in I'll probably be just as nice to him as I was before.
Now I am a tip whore.
