Today's:

The Viper song "Moonlight" was the first thing Andre Matos ever composed. True, the music is based on the song "Moonlight Sonata" by Beethoven but the lyrics aren't :)

(I'm guessing he wrote it around age 15 or so but I could be wrong. It had to be written at the very latest at age 17 because that's when Theatre of Fate came out.)

Today's:

Andre Matos started piano lessons at age 10 and performed his very first concert at 13 with Viper.

And more than likely he was a blond too ;)

Lately I've been addicted to the Viper song "Prelude to Oblivion". I play it over and over again. Viper, for those who don't know, was Andre Matos' first band before going on to Angra. Ironically I like his voice better on this than any of the Angra songs I have other than "The Shaman". Mainly because it isn't all high pitched and whiny ( Read more... )
