Today's:

Gamma Ray's album Insanity & Genius is the only one to feature three different lead vocalists. Ralf Scheepers sings lead on all songs except "Heal Me" (sung by Kai Hansen) and "Your Torn is Over" (sung by Dirk Schlachter). Ironically this would be Ralf's last album with the band....

Gamma Ray bassist Dirk Schlachter met singer Kai Hansen in a music college course in the middle of 1989. He was there for guitar lessons and Kai was there for singing lessons ;)

Gamma Ray singer Kai Hansen had Ralf Scheepers sing "The Silence" at his wedding to Gabi in July 1994. Dirk Schlachter played the church organ to accompany him :)

Gamma Ray's song "A While in Dreamland" was written while Dirk Schlachter and Kai Hansen were sharing a bottle of Jack Daniels whiskey in the studio in 1996. At the time, Gamma Ray was only the two of them as everyone else had quit....
