- Got a new camera over the weekend: Canon Power Shot A570 IS (4x zoom, 7.1 mpx). I'll show it off in the next post.
- The stock shares finally showed up in my brokerage account and I've exercised them for around $5500. Taxes were already taken out in the first grouping so that's my net. Plus I'm going to avoid any Capital Gains taxes since it fell to $80 a share this morning. The tax stocks sold for $88 which makes it a Capital Loss. It also means I'll get back a lot more of my tax money come next January when I do my taxes. Always a good thing :)
- Managed to acquire a copy of Dark Alliance 2 without paying an arm and a leg. It was selling for around $60-75 on Amazon used. I got it off ebay for $30 which is more than I would have liked but much less than the average. Hopefully it's as good or better than part 1. The only reason I had to get part 2 is because part 1 ending with "To Be Continued". Sneaking buggers.
- My story crossed the 6000 words mark over the weekend. Though it's not remotely close to being finished. The big goal for this week is to fill in the gapes between the parts. Lately I've been just writing whatever section that comes to mind. It's been working out better since I'm not forcing myself to write it in order like I have with other stories in the past. The only drawback to that is I have a lot of parts that don't connect or aren't even in the same timeline as the one sitting next to it. I'm sure I'll figure it out in the end but if anyone were to look at it now they'd wonder about my sanity ;)
