Somehow Charles Schwab changed how they deal with my stock options. In the past they'd sell of all them and then take out the require tax amounts. This time, however, they sold some of the shares for tax. The problem is, I don't know where the remaining 68 shares went. I can find no record of them on my account page and the only thing I see is a transaction history for the 34 shares sold for taxes.
Without those shares, I can't go to Japan. I have nothing in savings and was counting on this money to pay my way. Even if I went alone, I still won't have enough money even with combining two paychecks together.
I've emailed Charles Schwab about it but I haven't received a response back. I'm just hoping that they don't assume that I want to hold onto the 68 shares and not sell them. The reason I don't hold onto them is because I'll be subject to Capital Gains taxes which are higher than the ones they already take out.
