It's A Small World

Going to UNSW for 3 years had convinced me that all who went there either hailed from Randwick, a college on campus, south of the bridge, some westieville suburb or Wagga/Connabarananana. This is all excluding CK and Tim who live in Lindfield and Derek who lives in Hornsby.
As it stood, no one doing my course ever knew what it was like to not fear being rolled when catching a bus at night or the (mostly) absence of annoying wogs or bogans.
That all changed today in my stats tute when me and Mike sat together. As does happen in a stats tute, we got bored pretty quickly while copying down what she was writing and instead got talking. The conversation eventually turned towards where we each lived and I asked him first. He replied "do you know of a suburb called Artarmon?" and I was like holy shit, of course I do. So it turns out he lives three (decently longish) streets away and thus I discovered the existance of the underground North Shore living gang. Most of his friends actually live in or around Willoughby or Lindfield.

When he drove me back home this afternoon I was also introduced to two more girls who live close by, Ann in Chatswood and Sandra, two streets over.

So it really is a small world after all but only if you know where to point your microscope.
