Easter Sunday

So Easter Sunday. It is the next day of course, and since I don't have a job yet, I am posting while I should be job searching. But that is okay. I will get to it soon enough. Besides I can't surf all that well yet anyways. My computer is installing some updates and will finish soon. When they're finished I will have to restart the system to activate them and I don't want to interrupt my application process with that.

Yesterday, didn't go to bad, all things considered. The day started out around 8 in the morning. A little late compared to when we wanted to start. That is not so okay, but like my girlfriend Suzanne says, I am working on it. Anyways, I started by doing whatever Mom needed, which was a list of random things that she thought off as the morning progressed. Like take out the trash, and go get some romaine lettuce, and vacuum the basement. We were getting ready for the Finn Family Easter party at our house.

I woke Suzanne up at 10:00, because she had worked cleaning up the house late the night before. It usually bothers me when she sleeps in, but I thought it would be fine since she had been doing stuff late the night before (plus, I wouldn't be surprised if that was her angle on it also). By the afternoon, I went outside and just cleaned some things up outside, unloaded Milo's scaffold set-up, and helped Dad fix the fuel tank on the tractor.

The fuel tank had a leak, that we thought we had fixed, but turns out that there was more than one hole on it. Dad was pretty frustrated with it. Its just been one thing after another with getting the tractor ready for the late spring. We ran into trouble adjusting the tires out, and found a crack on the starter housing; but, now that I think about it, its great that we found all of this now, because we won't have the headaches when we get to the field.

We were still working on the fuel tank when people started showing up, but we got it wrapped up before the majority of people showed up. Dad worked a bit longer on the clean up section, but it was his project and I was getting other things around for the Easter party. We started out eating. Mom, was still trying to get the road rally around so while she and the aunts set that up, we played football in the front yard. I am still sore, between charlie horses and aching muscles. It was a lot of fun though.

I almost killed myself by jumping into the pond and hitting my head on the bottom in the shallow end. That was scary. Its good to be walking around today. After jumping in the pond to clean off after football, we did the road rally. That was fun, my team won and Suzanne was excited to be on my team, of course. When we got back, we played baseball in the front yard after a few pictures. The families started drifting out during the baseball game.

The leftovers played Just Dance in the living room, or pit in the southwest room. Both room we recently refinished, which people commented on all day. Hopefully, Mom doesn't decide to do the floors upstairs, that whole process was one headache after another, and Mom ran herself ragged stressing out over it. What else is new, though.

Preston stayed the night and watched coming to america. A movie starring Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall. Can someone say hello 90s. I fell asleep on the couch. Woke up late this morning, but still working on that. Preston and I set up the first level of scaffolding for when we roof the house. Good thing we both had all morning to work on that, because it took a lot of figuring out. We got it done after two and a half hours. I'll do another update later tonight. I need to restart my computer so I can do some job searching.
