So life goes on and that is what I have been realizing more and more over the last year and a half. Its amazing how things can seem so different, but all the while so many aspects of life can go on unchanging. I am no longer going to class everyday, no longer playing videogames every day, no longer taking student loans, no longer meeting with advisors and professors and counselors every week. Despite those changes, the large majority of my life is the same, same family, same friends, same habits, same personality, same girlfriend, same preferences, same music, same movies, etc.
Lately, I have been really missing being a CMU student, especially with all my visits to Grand Valley. I used to think that most universities were similar, but I don't feel that way anymore. No there is a personality a spirit that I grew to enjoy at CMU that doesn't exist at Grand Valley. I shouldn't say that it doesn't exist, because Grand Valley has a spirit, but it is most certainly different than the one I am accustomed to. I miss CMU, but I am growing to appreciate my present situation and enjoy it for its own merits as well. I set a new goal for myself, I feel that it is doable, but certainly ambitious. I want to get my doctorate by the time I am 30. I am going to sit down and figure out how this week.
So things that happened this week: worked monday, worked tuesday till 10:30, went to class at noon, did homework after I got home until 8:30, went to bed reading; wednesday, worked all day, came home and was lazy, did nothing , went to bed reading; thursday, fed the cows in the morning, cow had a calf with 'frosty' hair, worked till 10:30, went to class at noon, had wine and dine at Suzanne's, went home and was lazy, went to bed playing video games; today, fed the cows, worked till 5, came home and posted on livejournal.
That's my week, cheers!
