So, this semester is going on quite well so far. I think that I have learned a lot on how to deal with the house crew over the past year. It could be that there are just less people there this year and that makes things a little easier, but it also places the load of maintaing the chapter premises on fewer people also. I wish the chapter took more pride in that house. I don't understand how I can feel so strongly about how it represents us and so many others don't feel the same way, or so it seems all to often. I hope to leave a strong impression on the new guys on how important our house should be too us. I think that a fraternity house really can be the physical embodiment of that group to outsiders.
Classes are going well, maybe too well, but I am trying to get ahead and that is not working even though I am keeping up really well. My brother is leaving for Las Vegas next thursday and I have to go home for his going away party. Well, I don't have to, but one I want to and two what would that say about how I feel about him if I didn't show up. I haven't really partied with the brothers this semester, but what else is new. Ever since I took up House manager and SGA I have little or no time to myself, not to mention that I have no time to play melee with Larry. I dropped SGA though and maybe things will cool down a little bit for me, but probably not.
Scrolling is coming up for the house and I need to get all of that in order so that Housing Corp remains satisfied, even though I haven't got rent in from everyone and they seem a little frustrated with that. I also need to find someone to take over house manager and start taking on those responsibilities. I don't want someone left in the dark like I was. I also need to work on some ammendments to the constitution so that House Manager is chosen jointly by the Chapter, BOG, and Housing Corp. I really think that that is important for the upcoming person, especially if it becomes a paid position in the group.
Alright time to go, see you guys in a month.
