Happy Valentines Day
So, it's Valentines Day. For some, it's a joyous time. For others, it sucks. Since I don't have a certain someone to spend it with, you think I'd fall into the "Valentines Day sucks" category, but I don't. I've heard so many people bash Valentines Day and dub it as a "stupid holiday". What the heck? Why shouldn't we celebrate love, even if we don't have a significant other to spend it with? I find it ironic that we loathe Valentines Day, the holiday that celebrates the very love that creates life. Yet, we love Halloween, the holiday that celebrates the very evil that destroys life. Columbus Day...if he hadn't discovered America, someone else would have. Martin Luther King Jr. Day...if he wasn't shot, would he still have his own day? St. Patrick's Day...we're American, why are we celebrating an Irish holiday to commemorate the saint of Ireland? Yet, aside from all these pointless holidays, we loathe Valentines Day? Something's wrong there...and besides, I get candy from the parents :-)
This is a good Monday, only one class today. My Computer Programming and Tech Comp class were canceled, so I went to class at 9:00 and got out by 10:00. I just came back to the dorm and worked on my resume. Tomorrow's a normal schedule, but Wednesday I only have one class again. My Chemistry lab ended last week, and Tech Comp is canceled again, so I don't have to go to class until 12:00, and I get out by 1:00. Yay for sleeping in! Thursday I have to register for next quarter's classes, then I have to GO to this quarter's classes, and then I have a doctor's appointment to check up on my before I have my small surgery next Friday.
I bowled pretty good last night, I was happy. A 160 average...pretty good for me. That'll bring my overall average up a few points. And I had pizza and pop, I like pizza and pop...who doesn't? We have the option to bowl this Sunday because next week is finals week, but eh, when in my lifetime am I ever going to study for finals? I've always done PERFECT without studying, so why fix something if it ain't broke?
Anyways, I'm going to nap. I like naps, they're a jubilant portion of my afternoon routine. I'll catch ya later...later dayz!
