Highlights of my Day

:) It was really fun to talk to Andy's mom and mine at the same time on Facebook today. It's always nice to feel connected to home. The time has come to figure out what to get everyone for Christmas. I have a list of people but I only have ideas for half of them. I should get most of my family's soon.
Today was a very slow day. I slept in til 10 or so and worked on homework most of the day (but I did manage to fall asleep on my bed for an hour). But the best parts of my day began right before dinner. I was finally able to do my word study on what it means to have "a gentle and quiet spirit." I was so happy to find so many answers in one book. Maybe I should list my findings here so I won't lose them.

Gentle and Quiet Spirit- tranquil, causing no disturbance, peaceable, harmonized (in) relationships with God and others, wholeness, meek, mild and soothing disposition like that of Christ, accepting God's will as good without resistance, humble, a condition of the mind and heart that comes as the fruit of God's power, not occupied with self.

Then as I sat down to eat dinner alone, Jessica Winters (Josh Harrison's girl friend) invited me to sit with them and gradually we were joined until the table was full. That was really an encouragement since I have been alone most of the day. I needed some pleasant social interaction. At Josh's initiation we all took turns saying what our highlight and challenge of the day was. It brought back memories of dinnertime at home with my family when my dad would always ask us the highlight and low-light of our day. :) Then when I got back to my room I ended up chatting on Facebook with moms. Lol. It was fairly entertaining and I almost felt like I was part of a "mom circle" or something cause we were talking about the rest of the family. God sure knows how to brighten up my day.
