Paradise CA

I'm loving spending time with the Cavanecia's. Little Isabel is 2 years old now! I can remember before she was even born. Paradise is a nice town. Lots of trees (and thus not the greatest reception on my cell), lovely scenery. Their new house is quite large, especially compared to their tiny apartment in Oakland. I'm staying in the guest room. Bruno has done a wonderful job fixing up the place. And Isabel is just as cute as ever. Today she ran around the house dancing and singing, "I have a boogie, I have a boogie." Lol. So adorable. It's been raining most of today and yesterday so it didn't make for the best touring weather, but we did a driving one so I could see the town.
Last night we all watched a French film (I forget the name). It was pretty good. I was about a rambunctious laundress who knew Napoleon and fell in love with a man in the military. ... She was going to become queen and then wasn't because of something she said... anyways good movie.
Today I tried something totally new: persimmons. Melana and I made persimmon cookies from scratch and even made our own recipe for the remaining "pulp" of the apples we had used to make cider. They were named Apple Drops. It was quite an adventure. All the batches of both types of cookies turned out great. We made them all really small so we ate a ton of them. Lol.
I suppose that's enough journaling for now. Oh wait! I got an early birthday present! It's a cute little carrying case with a journal, a photo frame, and some notecards and envelopes; all with an adorable pattern and beautiful color scheme.
