Dragonforce, Gunz, and turns for the dark in lighthearted flash

As a lot of power metal fans probably know, Dragonforce is releasing a new album called Ultra Beatdown that's due over here tomorrow. From what I've heard of the new songs on Youtube, I am seriously considering buying this album when I next go shopping. My favorites so far are "Heroes Of Our Time," "The Fire Still Burns," "The Last Journey Home," and "A Flame for Freedom," but I'm hoping to hear more when the album comes out.

Also, I've reinstalled GunZ and am getting back into the game. My primary two characters, TwoGunAngel and IvorysBlade, are up to levels 6 and 7 respectively and I've gotten back into the swing of things multiplayer-wise. Checked out a good number of other games on ijji.com as well, including this cute little Kirby-style game called Hungry Monster.

And last but not least, I've been following the There She Is!!! series on Newgrounds, which has thus far been a lighthearted, romantic and comedic tale about a cat and a rabbit who fall in love, with hints of a greater conflict between cats and rabbits in the background but until the end of the somewhat more sober Step 3 where a rock gets thrown through the rabbit girl's window, nothing so far to suggest that things might get worse. Until now. There She Is!!! Step 4 is the point where things stop being cute and funny and take a turn for the dark and seriously dramatic, where, to steal a phrase from a site I like to go to, LoveHKFilm, IT ALL GOES TO HELL. Many, many people of the world of There She Is don't want that cat and that rabbit getting together, and they come out in force in this installment to drive the two of them apart and make them suffer. Bad Things happen to both of the lovers that push what they can take to the breaking point, and the installment ends on a major cliffhanger with things rather firmly in the Darkest Hour and with only one more installment to go. Will this series have a happy ending? I'm praying it does, but at this point, especially in Asian media, anything's possible.

dragonforce, gunz, there she is
