Good Work Day.
A guy came in and asked me if we had Serenity. I got this look on my face like "OMG I can hardly control myself right now!" As I was walking him over to the Sci-fi section I asked him if he'd seen the show. He said his friend got him into it. We started talking about the show, nerd to nerd. Then he told me that he read somewhere in some magazine with a 'V for Vendetta' cover, that Serenity was going to have a 2nd season. I was just so happy to hear that, I didn't care if it were true or not. (Highly unlikely ... but please make an ass outta me!)
We were also talking about comic conventions and how one's coming to Philly in June (I missed the last one when Eliza D. was present.) He asked me if I was a fan of Tru Calling and I said liked her on Joss's other shows. He started talking about how the show was coming back (and now I must find this magazine to see if it even excises). I said it wouldn't be as good because Joss killed off some good characters. He gives me this look and says ... "People die?" lol I was like "Uhhhhhhh? ... No?" I didn't know he hadn't seen the movie! Being that I'm so awesome I made him forget that I ever said such a thing by changing the subject back to how great the show is\was.
Before he left I told him to head to the comic book store down the street and pick up the comic. Again with the surprised looks. What? I'm not supposed to know these things? I just know he's gonna have aSerenity\Firefly over load. -snicker- And to think I almost ruined the whole thing.
Jayne "Does anyone remember her comin' after me with butcher's knife!?"
Wash "Wacky fun ..."
Jayne "You wanna go, little man?"
Wash "Only if it's a place with candlelight"
Zoe "I don't think she would harm anyone."
Jayne "BUTCHER'S KNIFE!"
Zoe "Anyone we can't spare ..."
