While making dinner, I inadvertently dumped boiling water all over my hand. It hurt so much that I actually had tears in my eyes. Now my right hand has that tight-hot-painful feeling... a reminder of my graceful moves. This happens to be the very same hand that I sliced open on the corner of a cabinet earlier in the week. I'm not always this clumsy; it's just one of the many blessings of PMS. Thanks, hormones! You're great!
Guess what? My little town is FINALLY going to have recycling service. We've had bins in our garage forever to separate our recyclables and I just drive them up to Denton when they get full (or overfull, as is often the case). It's kind of a pain, but one of the health food stores I frequent has collection bins, so it's not like I have to go out of my way. Now we'll have curbside service and won't even have to separate the recycling... it doesn't get any easier than that. It's hard to understand why, but I know there will still be people who don't bother. Even though I try to be packaging-conscious with my purchases, it's amazing how much plastic we amass each week.
Josh is due home within the next half-hour or so... I'm so ready to have him back! He's been in Chicago for the last three weeks, and despite him being home on the weekends, it's just not enough time. Two more weeks and then he'll get to be here with us for the week of Thanksgiving. HEY! That means Thanksgiving is almost here. How'd that happen? I don't even know what our plans are yet. MMmMmMm, pie.
