it's that time again, kids

It's NaBloPoMo time again, and since I have trouble updating even once a week, it makes sense for me to post every day. Yay, logic!

We've been so busy that the pumpkin carving did not happen until yesterday afternoon. Thankfully, both Aunt Jenn and Aunt Rachel were here to help scoop out the pumpkin brains-- they are both superior slimy-goo-scoopers. Max decided to give his pumpkin a scary unibrow, then accented it with a leftover fake mustache. The pumpkin's nickname? Mr. Big Brow. Behold:






The past couple of years we've run out of candy before the trick-or-treaters were through with us... but not this year. There was a lot of candy left over. Add that to all of the candy that the boys can't eat due to allergies and that's just WAY too much candy sitting around my house begging to be eaten. I can manage to stay out of the kids' candy... but the other stuff is just up for grabs! I threw some of it away today in a fit of sacrilege. It was the only safe choice left. Forgive me.

I haven't completely forgotten Three Terrific Things Thursday. Thing one: I took a nap this morning while both kids were at school. Thing two: Khai snuggles. Thring three: Max told me that he doesn't ever want any other mommy. That works out well for all of us.
