Reason #4,563,209 not to have more kids: more kids = more potty training. Khai just does NOT want to use the potty-- he's Mr. Independent and will go off by himself, change his own pull-up and clean himself up, refusing my help all the while. He starts preschool in August so I'd like for him to be all trained by then... whether or not he will ( Read more... )

Hehe-- thanks. Maybe on days when I've had the super-triple-64oz-latte of doom. Or maybe that just enhances the crazy?

I smile simply because
.
.
.
Khai is just like my daughter :)
Screaming and yelling and slamming doors
followed by cuddles and telling me how
much she loves me.

It's emotionally draining to say the least.
But everyone keeps telling me a second child
would be so much easier.
I don't believe them.
And it's not worth testing the fates.

And for the potty training thing...
again, Zoë?
She used the bathroom at school with no problem
(at 2) because that's what you were supposed to do.
And she was almost 4 before she started
using the bathroom at home.

They're fun aren't they ;)

Whoever told you a second child would be easier is LYING! They are just hard in different ways, that's all. ;)

--Max fights sleep every single night. Khai will go crawl in bed on his own if he's tired.

--Max will eat nearly anything I put in front of him without a second thought; on some days Khai won't eat anything at all, while on others he eats three helpings of what he said he didn't like the day before.

...and on and on. At least they're not BOTH insomniacs who won't eat, right?

They *are* fun... and that's what makes all of the hard stuff worth wading through. Good thing they're cute, huh? :p

E.x.a.c.t.l.y.

And it's both my Mom and Brad's that tell me such things.
But I think they've got grandkids on the brain.
It makes them do strange things... like LIE!

I sympathize.. Meg pulls these long tantrums complete with the type of screaming you mentioned... IN PUBLIC. I hate that. And she cries until she's sick. Literally. And any other time she's sweet as can be.

I hope you didn't break your tailbone - imagine the cast for that!! :P J/K, there's no cast for that. My mom did it. You just have to let it heal, much like a broken rib. And I thought women like you, tall, slender, and gorgeous, were supposed to be the epitome of grace and elegance? Oh, my shattered ideals... :)

Haha!! Dangerously clumsy is more like it-- seriously-- I run into walls a lot more often than I should. ;)

The public screaming fits are the WORST. Last week both of mine were wailing while we were in a store. I got them out of there as fast as I could, which wasn't nearly fast enough.

Yeah, I hate it how they look at you like, "can't you CONTROL your children??" These lovely people who have no kids. *stab stab*

BTW, you interested in maybe a playdate this upcoming week?

I'm SO behind. We had the week all planned out before I got sick, but now I'm not up for anything at ALL. Poor Max will have had the most boring spring break ever! Another time?
