Well, I have moved. Actually I moved 3 weeks ago, but this is the first time I've made time to sit down and type something.
I love our new place and now that the embargo about "we're going to move soon so don't buy anything" has been lifted, I'm having fun going around shopping for odds and ends. Pictures, maybe, when I'm done.
It has been beautiful and sunny here for the last two days, and I've been rather lazily sunning myself while reading a book. Stephen King's Dark Tower 5: The Wolves of the Calla....hmmm, how to rate this book...I guess I should confess I read Book 4 in 1999 ( I stole it off someone and finished it before they did)...so it's been awhile, but I'm finished with 5 and have moved on to 6. Mostly I feel like none of this is new....there is an awful lot of recycling going on this series. That's a shame really, because I think King could be a better writer if he was more critical with what he committed to the page. Of course, he could sell finger paintings of his crap, and people would buy it, as long as he signed his name. I do not have high hopes for this book. Mostly I'm reading it to get it done.
I woke up this morning to water leaking down on my toilet through the ceiling fan, and cat puke ALL OVER my computer mouse. Hmm...very crappy start to the day. When I got home from work finally, I celebrated with a McShag (zero-foreplay-fuck-me!-sex) hand a shower, and then went for round 2. Then had a bbq (very delayed) dinner and started watching a movie. Unfortunately I did NOT come home with Pan's Labyrinth, as planned, and instead in a fit of irrationality, took home Hannibal Rising instead. This is supposed to be the prequel to the Silence of the Lambs. Ugh. Snore. C'est terrible! I walked away in disgust. The only 2 good movies in that series are Silence and Red Dragon.
Red Dragon = Ralph Fiennes as tattooed psychopath AND Edward Norton using a gun....porno for women never looked so good.
Anyways, hello world, I missed you.
