A rather harsh thought on my mind...
Lately, I can't scan through my LJ friends' posts without being blinded by rainbow symbols and stuff...
That's all said an good, be proud! It's who you are!! I'm all for that.
But one thing that bothers me is that DAMN FURRY RAINBOW SYMBOL!! WTF?!?!
To me that thing is implying furries are meant to be gay and are only gay... well what the fuck about the few of us who are not?
Why don't the rest of us get a "symbol"? Why don't "Weres" get a symbol? I'll tell you why... because we don't feel like alienating people. We don't want to imply that "weres" are straight, or that furs can only be proud when they are straight.
But yet I get a rainbow symbol w/ paw prints shoved down my neck everytime I go to scroll down my friends list to see what my good friends have posted for the day. And the caption underneath it? "Furry is a way of life" or some shit like that...
I'm not pleased at all...
