first week

This week flew by, but not before I was left with a full weekend of work. Luckily, it's work I might actually enjoy doing since I'm really enjoying classes so far. One of my teachers was so enthused to teach this 200 level class I'm in that he passed up a year of studying in Norway that he'd been excited about for a long time he said. I'm impressed. The rest of my teachers seem equally happy to help us out, which makes class so much better. Everything seems to tie together now too since I'm in 3 geography courses, all pretty much focused on GIS, and an ISAT course called Natural Resource Management that's pretty interesting.

It's odd, the people in my classes seem more mature than in the past and I don't think it's because I'm a senior since these are primarily 200 and 300 level classes. Maybe geographers don't don't drink themselves away like the rest of the school. It might not be so hard to meet new people after all.
