Oh to go camping
Spazzy and I had a great camping trip this weekend. Even though we left later than I had planned on Friday, all went well. I do not think that I could have picked a better site (well maybe the lantern hook could have been moved, but I do not know where to). Saturday was a slow and relaxing day. Sunday was a hike to the top of Mt Pisgah, and then some driving through the mountains on the Pkwy. Then some fun driving on the way to and from Waynesvile on 276 :-). No I did not get a chance to slide the car through the turns (thanks to the Jeep and the Horse trailer). The rest of sunday was spent making a fire and dinner and some Hot Chocolate and Marshmallows over the fire. Monday we slept in and then broke camp kinda slowly. I think that Spazzy and I will be going camping again, probably not until after the wedding. The next month is already booked, so you better be making plans for us quick. This weekend it is to the boat races, next weekend is off, then it is to ATl for the weekend so she can meet the relatives on my mom's side, then Alamogordo for the week to do research and then Chicago the week after so that I can meet the relatives on her Dad's side, and then Engaged Encounter on the 21st. I'm sure that I will be reminded of things that I have forgotten, but those are the ones that stick in my head now. I am sure there will be more trips to Alamogordo, but they are not planned yet and I can still hope that my presence is not/ will not be needed out there.
