whoa...changed feelings?
Okay, so last night, us YoungLife sophomore girls had a little partay. It was really fun. We wore pj's, no makeup, ate tons of junk food, and cried at The Notebook.
But before any of that, we talked about the Bando competition. Like 2 of the girls there are Bando's, and Jillian, who is Laine's sister, was there. So, Lauren was talking about Laine and Jordan and how they were sitting right in front of her, and Jordan was calling her silly names. So, she ended up messing the whole dance up, and you can even see it on the tapes. Then Claire goes "Laine and JORDAN?" and she looked REALLY confused, and Lauren goes "Yeah...Laine and her boyfriend, Jordan." and she goes "Oh! THAT Jordan!" and Lauren goes "Oh yeah, Jillian, don't tell Laine, but I think he's so hot!" and I go "Don't worry babe, you're definetly NOT the only one who thinks that!"
And everyone looks at me and goes "How do YOU know him?!" And I was like "He's in my fourth period...he's so awesome!" and Jillian is in agreement.
SO then, we talked about Laine's solo. Apparently, everyone cried when they saw it. No wonder, she's such a passionate dancer, I would LOVE to be able to dance even half as well as she does.
So they talked about that and how it was Laine's 18th birthday that day. So, they had a surprise party for her like an hour after our YL shindig. I was like "Oh, that totally makes sense!" And everyone looks at me...I go "Sorry...But Jordan was driving up and down my street like every ten minutes and I was 'What is going on?!' He was helping yall decorate?" and they're like "Yeah." Oh, and btw, I know he was up and down my street because 1. I live like 2 streets in front of Laine and Jill. 2. I was practicing my driving. Which was extrememly needed considering the fact that i had hit the gas instead of the brake at one point. Nice, huh?
Anyway. So of course, I was all pouty or whatever.
But today, Laine came walking into the dance studio, looking for Jordan, who 10 minutes earlier had left. So, she stayed and watched a little bit of Dirty Dancing with us, and talked to some other seniors. Then she sat over by me and I said "I heard you did like REALLY well on your solo" and she goes "Uh, I guess. I was 4th..." and I go "Uh, Yeah, out of SEVENTY THREE spots. That's really good. I was talking to a bunch of other girls and they were all like 'Oh, Laine made me cry!'" and Laine goes "Haha, Yeah, but it was okay. It wasn't really that good." so i go "Whatever! I've never even seen it, and I know that it was WAY better than okay." then she said "Aww, Thanks!"
Wow. Can you guys believe that? I know I can't. I ACTUALLY had a couple thoughts go through my head: She really isn't that awful of a person!
I can hear the Hallelujah Chorus being sung right now. And I saw them at lunch and actually thought that they were *GASP* a really cute couple. What has this world come to?
