An odd thing happened to me this past weekend...

I decided that I needed to become an adult again. Really. I've been borderline non-responsible lately, just doing the bare minimum to get by. I kind of blame it on stress. Work has been crazy for over a year now and not looking to get any better in the foreseeable future, my exercise routine was blown to smithereens by said workload and winter, other routines were pushed out of whack by the work schedule. And do you know my response to stress? Some people eat. Some people grit their teeth and bear. Some people even like it. Me? I avoid. Avoid, avoid, avoid. Oh, and eat less healthy but not to extreme excess.

The avoidance is coming to an end. I finally opened my checkbook for the first time in two months (other than to write two checks) and listed all my debit transactions and paid my bills. I made a very slow start on housework. I am attempting to get back to exercise more than once or twice a week, like in at least five days. (*smile* A break in weather would help because I could get out on my bike.) And I am trying to get back to the proper diet, not the starch, protein, and sugar that I prefer to live on.

Don't get me wrong. I'll still waste time on my year-old addiction (FB games, thanks a lot, Elflina, hahaha). And I'll still have my lazy days with regards to exercise and bills. But... I feel better, or at least more motivated. Not enough to take the time to write (that free time was all sucked up by exercise and the aforementioned FB games), but enough to try and get my life nudged back to where I want it to be.

Now, if only I could get over this stiff/sore/knotted neck. Really kicked in Wednesday night/Thursday morning and I've been sore since. The emergency chiropractor visit on Friday morning helped, and thanks to the PT stretches he showed me I nearly have my full range of motion back, but the right side... oh how it hurts when it gets stiff or I move it wrong!

Yay for Season 6 of NuWho. I am loving Rory more and more. That's unusual for me. As I think I mentioned, I tend not to like the male companions all that much especially after Adric and Turlough. But Rory is great, and I still like Amy, and after they 'finish' River's story line, I'm going to watch the episodes in her viewpoint order and cry for her. The Doctor's Wife was a lovely fan-candy, the Siren was cool, and the season arc looks to be very interesting mind-twistery.

Oh, that reminds me! And then I really need to get back to work. My crack New Who Theory About River Song! I'm pretty sure everyone on my list either a) has seen the first two episodes of this season, b) hasn't, but doesn't care if they're spoiled, or c) hasn't, but couldn't care less. Just in case, though, I should probably put this behind a cut.

First, let me say that River's expression when she realized that the Doctor would flirt quite seriously and quite outrageously with her but still not trust her just about broke my heart. Poor River...

Ahem. Now, from River's viewpoint: She gets an invitation that is obviously from the Doctor and escapes StormCage. Not sure why she's there this time, as Tardis.wikia says that she's been incarcerated there twice, and may I say that I just love the Cleric's expression and tone when he tells his superior that she's packing? Anyway. So, River escapes, meets up with her friends and seems to really know and like Amy and Rory. They go on a picnic, and then see the Doctor killed mid-regeneration right in front of their eyes. River shoots at the killer and then says "Of course" when her bullets have no effect. Personally, I think it's because she realizes that the killer has probably augmented his human 1969 apparatus somehow, but we'll see.

And now the crack theory starts to come in. At the end of the arc, we will see that it is Rory inside the spacesuit. Good ol' dependable Rory doing what he has to, shooting the Doctor exactly in the spots he's been told to aim for. River will find out that it is Rory and will finally take her revenge. Oh, Rory. You are always doomed to die.

Alas for River, it WASN'T Rory who killed the Doctor. It was a Watcher who looked like Rory. The Watcher will save himself from being burned alive (because we all know that the Doctor just put himself in suspended animation to trick River's instruments), and then regenerate to look like Rory. Which will confuse and torture Amy to no never end, so we will have to find a place for her to quietly go away and deal or not deal with this. And this is why River is sooo protective of Amy from then on out, especially with the Angels. And we know who it is that River will kill and be incarcerated for the second time.

Okay, it sounded better in my head yesterday, hahaha. It will not be true because a) they'd never let a Companion become a Doctor, b) they could not possibly be that mean to River, Rory, and Amy (though they can be mean), and c) Matt Smith is not allowed to leave after only two seasons. ;P

Alright. Two phone calls to go answer, one of which I was half expecting, so off I will go. See you all in another six months or so, hahaha. I am checking in once in a while, I'm just not posting because of lack of time and nothing really very interesting happening in my world.

Have a great day!
