Things I Wrote This (yester)Day

Dec 11, 2005 18:45

If on this day I read this very dreary article
About your life-existent, super-tonic particle then
Tell me, please, your explanation of
Why I doubt my fascination for
That Christmas Tree in the living room.
Maybe,
I don’t like popcorn.

No, you never understood that tone
Of every self-reflexive picture of my own dead flower
Sitting in a midst of dead stems,
Next to the physicality of the real dead flower
And wonder why
I,
Float.

Sure, the music stopped,
Those notes, those beats that started (me)
But I’m still going (strong), I add
Those silly boots are still a fad
I wish, I thought, I never had
Your,
Brain.

Surprise or fancy (the abruptness of) That,
But you didn’t know that I was (not yet)
And you scared me, and I watched you.
I felt your thoughts, escaped my
Feelings, of a lifeless, passionate hope
We,
Deny.
