I was so angry... I was so angry I just lost it. All that he said. Was it really just an act? To get me to crawl back to him because he missed what we had together? And then when he gets tired of it he'll try something like what he did again? What they were talking about... I refuse to think the worst of Ant, but it's not hard to, given his track ( Read more... )

I sincerely doubt you're the last kind. And if you ever want someone to stop you being the last kind, there's plenty of us, I'm sure.

Are you alright?

I feel like it, sometimes. I just don't learn my lessons.

I'm fine. This is what happens when I'm alone and brooding. I come up with weird analogies that has everyone sending me pitying looks.

I think most people don't learn their lesson at some point in their life.

Ah, I see. Aren't there better things to do when you're alone than contemplate the universe? Which isn't a bad thing to do, it just might send you mad one of these days.

Or about someone in their life.

I'm not contemplating the universe, nothing as sagely as that. I'm pondering the mess my life is. That's hardly noble. And the trouble comes looking for me, I don't actively seek it out.

It is a good thing to do, every once in a while. Just don't over do it, as the high majority of things can be over thought.

If you come to any drastic conclusions and want to talk to someone, you know how to get me.

Drastic conclusions. Hah. You sound entirely too much like Benjy sometimes. Don't worry, I think I'll be able to handle my own thoughts.

Apparently, I do. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not. Alright, I was just making sure you knew.

Don't worry. You're still cute, even if you sound like Benjy.

Anything interesting at work? How's that woman you were telling me about?

Careful, or he might take offence. Heh.

This week's been fairly droll. Although she's doing much better, which is always good. Well, that was the last I heard, anyway.

Nah. He's too wrapped up in his love life to worry about what I think of him. Besides, it's me you're talking about. Everyone has a soft spot for me.

She's doing better? I'm talking about the one you told me you had a crush on, silly. How's the progress?

Nobody can ever take offence from you, that's true. We like letting you off because...we just like you that much.

Oh...hahaha. Oops. Sorry, I was..and...was that not you? I'm tired/confused/just stupid. We are having lunch later. Albeit in the staff room. It was sort of an ironic date.

Of course. That's only to be expected. Everyone loves me.

Poor Caius, you sound confounded. Has work really been that stressful? That's good to hear. Excellent progress, mate. Keep working on it.

What's not to love?

I got very confused, and could have sworn I told you about the woman who had been poisoned. Which was very interesting and worthy of telling you. Apparently not. Long day, but it's theory tomorrow, which means I can sit down for a bit. I will keep working on it, and there shall be sharing of chocolate this lunchtime, because I'm in an optimistic, if confused, mood.

Oh you sweettalker.

Hmm? What happened? How did she get poisoned? Sharing of chocolates. Is that every bloke's way of charming a girl, or rather, people they hope to charm?

We're not entirely sure how she got poisoned. That's the interesting part. As we can't figure out how to fix it without figuring that out. So there's about six hundred theories floating around.

And...is it? Really? Wow, I didn't know that. Is it too clicheed? Should I make her a cup of tea or something instead? I'll think about that...hmm.

You can't figure it out? What kind of poison was it?

Nah. It's cliched, but the cliched things work the best. Besides, I'm sure she'll be floored by your charm.
