I got the damn Tumblr...

...and good grief, how do people ever extract themselves from it. HOW?? I relegated myself twenty minutes with it and emerged three hours later. WHAT HAVE I DONE??

Well, if you'd like to join me in the chaos, a link is right HERE. I'll admit, I love some of the stuff about the format. It makes it so much easier to share all my favourite quotes from whatever it is I'm reading at the moment (as you can see, it's Middlemarch) and I've already started moving some of my reviews over there. Plus pictures! So many pictures!

It looks as though I'll be keeping my reading/watching log (I guess refraining from commenting on books and films was too much for me), though it'll be in a slightly different way. The tag will be "rav's reading log" or "rav's watching log" since I'm still slightly uncomfortable with the idea of putting my thoughts into a much larger venue that has a much higher chance of attracting vitriol if someone happens to disagree with you. I might want to post a somewhat negative review at some point, and I know it's considered impolite to "tag your hate", with "hate" often being translated as "unpopular opinion".

So this way I can keep my thoughts reasonably private except to those that specifically go in search of them. If anyone actually does, that is.

And in regards to the name given to my personal dash, I've decided to go with "They're All Fictional." This derives from many late night angst sessions in which I've been fretting about the fate of various people, only to be forced to remind myself that "they're all just fictional!" Only I've dropped the "just" in this case so as to remove the slightly negative vibe that word always conveys.

Maybe see you over there...
