10. Favorite classic movie
I'm gonna be honest and say I haven't seen a whole lot of "classic" movies. Something about them always seems off to me. I don't care how much people laud the acting back in the day, too many times I've tried to watch oldies and just say to myself, "People still think this is good acting? Really? All this over acting and scene chewing is impressive?" And it's usually with movies people consider to be hallmarks of cinema.
And I don't want that to mean that I don't like or appreciate classic movies, it just that on the vast majority of them I don't "get".
That said, and I don't care if this is cheating or not, I'm gonna go with
Young Frankenstein. Done in the oldschool classic movie style, it's a hilarious comedy that I'm kinda sad isn't attempted more often nowadays. Huge sets that are two stories high (and captured in camera), long extended takes without edits, black and white used to great effect, this movie is funny every time I watch it.
