New Laptop!
I'm sitting at Starbucks, typing this on my new LAPTOP!!! I have never before had my own laptop in my life! I'm so happy and excited and jubilant and ecstatic that words don't really convey my emotions. I can skype whenever the heck I want now, I can write emails at 21am and not have to type on my phone, I can write now and not have to deadlines! I'm just...overjoyed. I really can't express it. The laptop in the icon looks like mine, only mine is a pretty turquoise color. And it's small, and light. I love it so much. <3 <3 <3 No more going to a library for computer time!!!
I don't have internet setup at my house yet, but for now I'mh hoping I can borrow my neighbor's wifi. Well, I'm hoping one of my neighbors HAS wifi. :P I'll eventually get my own internet of course.
It feels a little strange, to be honest. I've been disconnected for so long, always trying to steal snatches of internet time here and there when I can, and now I don't have to do that. I feel...freer, somehow. Is that strange? Like, even though I'm far more connected than ever, I feel not so connected--but in a good way. Not so tied down and restricted, maybe? I don't know.
I just know I'm going to enjoy this. Now, on to writing! So far I've 590 words. Now that I have a laptop, I'm hoping that number will sky rocket! Oh, having a laptop and more reliable internet connection means I can now finally do the webserial I've been dreaming of doing forever! :D Woohoo!
