OMGWTH!!!!!! OK lawyer friends....
"If notice given by or on behalf of the insured to any authorized agent of the insurer with information to identify the insured is considered to be noticed to the insurer. Also, this form states that failure to give notice as required to be given by such policy within the time shown in your policy will not invalidate any claim made by the insured. It shall be shown that it was not reasonably possible to give such notice within the prescribed time and that notice was given as soon as was possible."--Michigan Insurance Company
This is an endorsement change to the liability section of my auto policy. Anyone care to take a guess? What? Aren't lawyers required to take English classes while in school? Doctors might not have readable penmanship, but at least when a pharmacist translates the writing he knows what the f!!k the doctor was talking about. As a teacher I'm dumbfounded. As an policy holder I'm just frustrated. However, on the plus side, they claim I haven't filed a claim with them in 5 years thus reducing my rates by 20 bucks. I've only been with them for 3 years and I filed a claim the first month I was insured when I had an auto accident which totaled my vehicle and hospitalized both my son and I! X-[
