So much for that idea...
Heh, no I am not talking about moving back to Lansing. In fact, things are going pretty great right now. D and Travis have introduced to me a number of their friends so far, and they have been great. I actually feel like I am supposed to be here for something. I am so thrilled that things are going well. The driving will take some getting used to, as will learning my way around town, but that's how those sorts of things go. It honestly reminds me of spending time in Detroit, only Chicago is quite a bit larger.
Saturday night is my "Welcome to Chicago" party that D and Travis are throwing in my honor. They have invited a bunch of their friends to come out, some of whom I've already had the chance to meet. I'm pretty excited. There are already new friends here that I am looking forward to seeing. I will be a bit sad that my Lansing peeps will not be able to make it out.
I'm fairly certain that all of the walking around this town is going to result in something that resembles a work out on a regular basis. That's honestly all good in my book.
Last night I went to a club called Neo with Travis. He introduced me to some of his friends that he knows, they were cool people. I also fell in lust with a lady bartender by the name of Angelina. She is all sorts of raven haired, hot amazon, gothy beautiful. WOW! I was also told by a young asian girl from New York that I was the best dancer of the guys who were spending time out on the dance floor. It was awesome, and she was all sorts of beautiful too.
Yesterday, Friday, I went to an Ikea store for the first time in my life. It was fucking huge, and had some pretty cool things. They also had some pretty craptacular things as well.
Tonight, Saturday, I was invited to play Whirly Ball on Sunday by a couple of awesome people that I met tonight. I'm so excited. I've heard of Whirly Ball and have wanted to play for a long time, apparenly there is a place in Detroit that you can play. For those of you who don't know what Whirly Ball is, think of it like lacrosse played while driving bumper cars. It's gonna be super fun.
