Be glad you can be outraged, and breathe ...

Alright, I gotta say something.

What the hell is wrong with people? Why is everyone so worked up? The election is over, things have come to pass that you may or may not agree with. I'm sorry if you feel cheated or somehow lied to, or whatever other horrible emotions have grabbed hold of you. Now, let me tell you about mine:

A year and a half ago one of my best friends was killed. He was 17. He never got to vote. He never voted for the winner, the loser, or even had the chance to say he didn't care.
He never got to see the grand canyon, or even a nascar race, or another tuesday.

Whether you like the way things went last night or not, you will. I will. We will.

I get pissed off a lot too, believe me, I do it more than most, but nothing calms me faster than the fact that I CAN be pissed off. My heart rate can elevate, my fists can clench, and I can scream. Lord, can I scream. Then, I can start living again.

Politics are so trivial, so meaningless. Focus on what's important, appreciate what you have, and what you've lost.

As a wise woman once told me: "Grumble ... for a day." Make it good grumbling.

It kills me that our country is so fueled by hatred.

... I think that's clich'e enough for one night ...
