Crawling out of Hibernation

Hang on, wait a sec...its March already?

As usual, Im finding myself blinking myself awake from my late winter stuper, and realizing how little time I have to get my butt in gear for the summer artfair season.

it helped a lot last year, so Im posting my spring to do list here as incentive for myself:

1-dye fiber and make silk paper. Lots and lots of both, as constantly having to go back and make more as I run out of colors slows me down a lot later on.

2-Write up plan for my early summer art class. Im planning to teach 2D and 3D silk fusion this year. I need to especially work out the logistics of all the messy drippy aspects of that, and also figure out materials cost so I dont eat as much of the expense as I did last year.

3-New images! Ive had 2 different fox pieces lingering in the rough sketch phase for eons, I want to do a really large orcas piece, as well as a large salmon, a pair of cranky old ravens, and misc smattering of smaller pieces.

4-Shrinkwrapping, framing of giclee prints, the usual building of gallery and show stock.

5-A totally unexpected crop of handpainted xmas ornament orders to fill...in March? When did this become a thing??

6-Shed rebuild/reorganization. My smaller business storage shed is literally threatening to slide off of a cliff. The ground under one side of its foundation has eroded to the point that its getting ready to collapse. Yikes. A friend with a forklift has offered to help shift it, but first I need to empty it. While we're at it, I want to rebuild the shelving inside to make it more usable. My larger shed, meanwhile, is going to be emptied, the floor rebuilt, and turned into a welding studio for my part time employee to use. She is starting her sculpture/handmade metal furnature business, and currently lacks a workspace. Gawd only know what Im going to do with all the crap thats in there now. Hopefull the more efficiently set up small shed will be able to accommodate some of it.

7-TAXES

8-Bees! Gardening! In a burst of premature enthusiasm, Ive begun my starts already.

So far thats it...Im sure this list will be added to. I have aprox 2 months. Eek.
