What a day!!
So, I had every intention of sewing today and starting Steve's Repo Man jacket, but I was inspired to do something else...COOK!
I cooked most of today.
For breakfast I made these appetizers I found in one of my Paula Deen cookbooks which are little sausage balls made with group sausage, bisquick and shredded cheese. They were yummy!
I made fresh pasta and two sauces, too! I made a simple tomato sauce (grandmother's recipe) and a light alfredo sauce. Mmm...fresh parmigiano-reggiano is good. I could eat it in chunks, but I prefer it from Italy (like actually from Italy, but I ran out two months ago).
For dinner I made teriyaki steak, roasted asparagus in olive oil with garlic, homemade mashed potatoes AND I even made dessert! Sort of. I cut up some strawberries and made homemade whipped cream (with a little bit of sugar and vanilla!). I made two steaks (they were small) so I could have lunch set for tomorrow, but I was so hungry and it was yummy that I ate it.
It was tasty. I had such a good day!
My cable was out most of the day cause they were fixing the wiring around here. So I watched lots of basic cable and whatever movies they put on. My cable finally came back just in time to miss the first 15 minutes of True Blood. Ugh.
So, I didn't sew, I cooked! I cooked almost all day!! It was wonderful.
Well I am off. OH, Steve comes home in three days!!! =) Later.
