So, turns out...DragonCon is a GO! I have a super awesome friend and a super awesome sister. I don't even know what to say, except, thank you. All I have to do is get my costumes ready, save up for my share of the hotel room and food! Oh...and treat the lovely and super awesome
absinthangel to dinner and drinks.
YAY!!
So now I had to make the choice of which costumes to bring. Here's the final list (thankfully almost all take up very little space):
Shindig Kaylee. I think I can get one more use of the skirt, so it will most likely only be worn on Saturday for the parade and Shindig.
Amy Pond, Doctor Who, "The Time of Angels/Flesh and Stone" Just need to get a good enough skirt, tights and a wig.
Rose Tyler, Doctor Who, "The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances"...will anyone let me borrow their Firetrap jacket for a few hours? Possibly on Friday or Sunday. Oh, and get the shoes and a wig.
Ten, Doctor Who, blue suit. A maybe, still.
Flo, Progressive. Just because it's comfy and everyone likes it.
Ravenclaw student. I may transform it into a Luna Lovegood if I can find a good enough wig. So far I haven't had luck on one I really like.
And a surprise costume, which is requiring me to tone up some but it will be AWESOME provided people have actually seen the movie. I sure hope so.
So, I still have some work left to do, but I should be able to get it all done in time. I probably won't be able to get any souvenirs this trip, but I usually never buy anything aside from food and a few celeb pictures. So I think I'll be set! I just hope Steve can still put in time for leave. I think he was planning on taking a whole week off for it anyway. Joy! I miss everyone so much and can't wait to see you all!
So much work to do in such a short time. Let's see if I can pull it off. Oh and I need to see what the husband wants to wear. I know he's going to do a Nine costume. It won't be accurate, but it'll be Nine nonetheless. He needs a sonic screwdriver because he can't have mine!
Ok, that is all. More to come later.
