close call
Had a bit of a scare during todays driving lesson =/
I was doing backwards parelle parking and it was raining cats and dogs, during my second attempt a big truck drove up and parked behind me, so much of my vision the rear was caught off.
So as I was driving back out into the road, I oriented myself, noting two cars passing me, before letting go of the clutch and pulling out, then looking forward to make sure I didn't nick the car parked infront of me, then start to look back again when my driving instructor slams the brake and a black car just zooms past me doing something like 60, seriously knocked me out center, because I felt rather confidently about the sitiuation and then he just pops out of a nowhere, the second I look the other way =/
never mind he was going like half again what he was allowed in a living area, I should still have spotted him =(
It rather rattled me, cause on my own, I might not have managed to brake in time and he'd have plowed into me
