GIP!
This is a lovely but appropriately dark winter scene. I think I'll use it as my default for the next while.
Random stuff on my mind:
1. The bitchy co-worker has worked herself up again, and there's going to be a meeting in my manager's office tomorrow with the three of us. *sigh* Why do people have the energy to do this shit? Life's hard enough w/o generating more drama, you know?
2. I'm going to bake a lot of gingerbread this holiday season, i.e., the next week or so. I hope the people to whom I give it appreciate v. gingery gingerbread, but I want to bake, and the smell of it in the oven is like aromatherapy, so they will get it anyway.
3. I have been watching The Sarah Connor Chronicles with my nephew, and we just finished 2x10 last night. Are there only 13 eps this season?
4. Next up on my list: Merlin.
5. I bought the trade of Serenity: Better Days. This is a holiday treat for myself. I plan on reading it on one of my days off, with a nice cup of tea.
6. Friday night, I am considering going to the The Dina Martina Christmas Extravaganza with a pal. More about Dina: http://www.dinamartina.com/bio.html
7. Don't really have any other plans. I need to pay my bills and mail the boxes and see whether I have enough left for a concert ticket or two. Some of these are tempting:

8. Holiday things that make this time of year special (I need to remind myself that it's not all a time of darkness, you see): homemade sugar cookies, mulled wine, candles, lights, oranges, hot chocolate, receiving cards from people I haven't heard from in too long, the excitement of children, the smiles on the faces of friends.
