Just found out that my poem "Binary Creation Myth" is the second place winner of the 2011 Rhysling Awards! Thanks to everyone who voted for it! I haven't been writing any poetry since shifting my concentration to editing, so I'm thrilled to be part of Rhysling history!

I received notification this weekend from Rhysling Chair David Lunde that my poem "Binary Creation Myth" has been nominated for a Rhysling Award from the Science Fiction Poetry Association. Yay! My scifaiku (science fiction haiku) 'one foot on Mars' has been nominated for the Science Fiction Poetry Association's 2009 Dwarf Stars Award and will appear in the 2009 Dwarf Stars Award Anthology.
