Yesterday I learned from Mark Rudolph that Strange Horizons has accepted my poem "The Invisible Woman Runs for President." Yay! Apparently my "strategy" of not writing much has been working, as the couple of poems I have written since editing
Sporty Spec have found homes with the top markets on my list.
This will be my third poetry appearance at SH. The prior two were

In "real world" news, here are a few pix from Halloween 2008. For the third year in a row, Bob and I attended the Dream Halloween LA benefit for
Children Affected by AIDS, held annually the Saturday before Halloween. We missed a lot of the festivities, because I'd had to pull myself up out of my sickbed to go, but we managed a quick run through, and I was happy we got to see some of the party.

At home, the following Friday evening, we gave candy to little children. We are starting to become the "Halloween House" on our street, where parents take pictures of their children next to our decorations. Since we don't have kids of our own, we enjoy that part a lot.
