It's Morphin' Time!

Last Saturday I went with my family to Easter Vigil. This is a 3-hour affair starting at 9:30, which includes going outside and lighting candles and doing more crazy ceremonial crap than usual to celebrate Easter. I have not been very religious in the past year or so by choice, but figured it would be easier on my parents if I just went rather than making an issue out of it. My sister and brother feel the same way.

We got to the church by 9, since my dad is always convinced that every single pew will be full if we don't get there early. Now we had a 1/2 hour to kill before sitting through the mass. We decided to test each other on childhood trivia.

My brother challenged me to name the five original Power Rangers, their colors, and their respective parts of the Megazord. This was laughably easy; I only had trouble remembering the yellow Power Ranger's name (Trini). Then we starting naming the other characters - Rita, Zordon, Alpha, etc. We did this throughout church which made it bearable and made me realize that I probably know WAY TOO MUCH about the Power Rangers. I'm not sure I would have been as good had Mich & I not watched a Power Rangers first season marathon thing a year or so ago, but still, I retained a lot of knowledge!

My sister suggested that it was embarrassing to know this much about such a bad show. I disagree. One day, there will be a Jeopardy! category about the Power Rangers, and I will rock it.
