Second Thanksgiving dinner
Yesterday, I went on down to Des Moines to meet my friend Candy Anderson, who'd invited me to a Thanksgiving potluck. As I usually do at these things, I brought along some jugs of fruit juice. I don't have the facilities to cook anything really elaborate, and transportation over those distances would be a problem.
I had a little trouble finding where I was supposed to go; Candy lives in the peripheries of Des Moines, and she'd moved since the last one of these. Once I found it, though, I had a good time. During the meal, the tornado alerts went off, which isn't normal for this time of year. Turns out a small "rope" tornado had touched down some ways to the west of where we were. No damage is reported AFAIK.
