I'm posting this from a slow connection in our D.C. hotel room because we had to rush out of the house this afternoon. I would be asleep or planning an itenerary now except that this news is way too big to let lie...

This morning the cast of Joseph got called to the auditorium for an announcement. Apparently somebody had been in the audience who had friends in the theater circles of Memphis, TN. He raved about us, and now...

WE'RE GOING TO PERFORM AT THE ORPHEUM!!!

Not the biggest theater in Memphis, but HOT DAMN anyway! We're all still kind of in shell shock. We already tore down our sets and sent the coat back! But we have time to get our act together -- the performance is on May 25, two days after graduation. Plus the sets have to be rebuilt and reconfigured for a stage three times bigger than our own(!). And we get real dressing rooms instead of classrooms, and a stage with actual wings to stand in, and a professional stage crew (although we're going to miss our familiar crew pretty soon, I'm sure).... omg omg omg. Still freaking, mildly anyway. I'm too tired to rant like I would have earlier today, but...

Brrrrr. I'm becoming an ice cube next to this air conditioner, so I'm gonna go wrap up in pajamas and blankets and plan tomorrow's Smithsonian visits. Squee! I'm more excited than should be legal right now. ^_^.

Spreading the joy!
