I hereby eat my words, and gladly: Small towns aren't totally useless as far as movies go. Totally out of the blue, Brokeback Mountain opened at the Cinemark in Tupelo earlier tonight. It must be the Friday the 13th atmosphere of random evil or something. Well, evil by the standards of many adults in the region...
Been watching Farscape again. Am up to season 3 - just finished "Self-Inflicted Wounds Part 2" and "...Different Destinations", and may I just say, DAMN. I don't remember it being this depressing when it was on. Wow, with the... torment, and the... hopelessness, and... massive loads of crap just kept piling and piling up on that crew, didn't they? No rest for the weary, I guess. (But boy is the Crichton-torture still as fun as ever. XD) Maybe I'll have something constructive to say about it later.
On a related note, 20 out of 50 John/Aeryn sentences are finished for 1sentence. When I have all 50, I'll post them. Right now I'm struggling with the realization that I write too damn much. Nearly every sentence of the 20 has an average of 70 words and contains varying combinations of dashes, semicolons, ellipses, "but"s and "and"s. Not that they're bad sentences; I just try too hard to tell a whole story in each one. This challenge has really helped me pinpoint my biggest writing flaw. Good for it. ^_^.
