These sketch posts are gonna be coming thick and fast for a while yet, methinks.

First, some stuff that is not in response to the last post.

I liked sketchy pencil Tony almost as much as badass hard-light Tony, so here he is. The only tragedy of inking is losing the sketchiness.

Speaking of sketchy

HOLY CRAP I DREW SOMETHING MECHANICAL

Accidental thumb for size reference? Scanner no worky, alas alack, so all of these are photos. Yay for new, auto-stabilized digital camera. Also yay for Photoshop Elements "auto levels/contrast/color correct" features, because these suckers were seriously dark and gritty on the camera. There is no good light anywhere in this room. Bare bulbs all around.

OK, I said I was doing the drawn-comic version of my class assignment. Well. I spent 8 hours yesterday writing the script and drafting the cover page. Used one of the panels from the end of Bendis' run on Daredevil as a photo reference - when Matt goes to prison. So the original is Alex Maleev art, and everyone should want to draw like Alex Maleev. Nom nom.

The pencil draft. That's Marv in prison. The story is about him meeting Lucille, his parole officer, for the first time. I thought their relationship (and Marv's mysterious - anti-psychosis? - medication) was one of the most interesting things in "The Hard Goodbye."

The finished product. (4-5 hours of inking. Do not have the right equipment here... need loose ink and good brushes, not all ink pens.)

And, at last, in response to the sketch-request post: rainweaver13 wanted "Tony Stark and Pepper Potts, having an argument. Either in his workshop or a generic office. Civilian clothes, please. Unless you want Tony in Iron Man drag but without the headpiece."

You know how in the comics, Tony can put the armor on over anything. And often wears it over a suit for easy quick-change possibilities, because in the comics he can take the armor off with a thought. But in the movie, there's the giant armor-builder thingy that constructs the armor onto his body. Which is badass and all, but probably really damned inconvenient. So.

.... costume jokes, ahoy!

[Panel 1]
Pepper: That was your best suit! Can't you change before you put on the armor!
Tony: I can afford tons of suits just like --
SFX: *snag*

[Panel 3]

[Panel 4]

And the coda~
Machines: *oops!*
Dummy: FIRE SAFETY!!1!1
Tony: I hate you. I hate you all. We will never speak of this again.
Pepper: *camera phone*
