Oh crap
Just found out today that Jo's dad passed away on Tuesday morning. Jo's one of my best friends at school, and I'm really unsure of what to do, sending a text would be insufficient, if I phoned her....to be honest I'm not sure what I'd say. Her dad's been ill for a while with liver problems, he had a transplant and they thought he was recovering, but he got an infection and it got the point, as far as I understand, that if they had continued to keep him alive it would have been in a vegetative state. So they decided to let him go.
What exactly can you say to that? She's 17, and her dad's dead. Why does crap always happen to the nicest people I know and never the utter bastards?
