The workday went okay at home. No computer problems. Yay.
I do need to learn how to communicate with my coworkers when I am remote. They are not used to dealing with someone remote so when I ask questions they hesitate to respond. I think it's because English isn't their first language so they don't like to put anything in writing. Maybe I

i guess it comes with time as our parents age
hope you find your way through the maze
i've been juggling staving off my face nerve pain, with getting rid of a cold, with all the other things i need to do
it's been an exhausting year
just like me, my computer equipment has become outdated no longer supported software
i feel broken and useless without my graphic toys, and supplements
it sucks to get old
ugh
the only positive thing is organizing my art studio again, it's about half way to becoming useful
can't wait !
are you still focusing at all on art?

Sorry about the face pain.
Glad you are organizing your studio.
Now that the garden season has ended I am plugging away at mine. I have 2 craft shows in November (as long as I can keep Dad out of the hospital) so I am painting ceramics and making jewelry. Tonight I tried some maker art. Boy you do need to swatch the markers as the colors on the caps are nothing like the actual colors.
I figure when Dad has his surgery I will we tied to the house as he recovers so I am planning to get back to my watercolor.

i've found the causes, and ways to prevent and treat them
but the kicker is cold damp fucking winter
that's a killer, i cover my face from the wind
it's been rehumanizing to just sit here in the studio wondering what to do next
i've rarely had that kind of freedom, there's often an agenda, like paying rent
oh, yaaay! good to hear you're back at is, just in time for christmas
all those lucky customers
can you get time off with pay to help look after him?
some companies have good group insurance policies that include family

I don't know if I have been there long enough to qualify. The boss has given me a laptop so I can work at home. I haven't talked to the boss much about it because I know she is disappointed that I cannot train myself and she doesn't want to come in to train me.

There are monthly reports that the bookkeeper is supposed to do...That's me. The reports are all spread sheets and you pull the data to enter from many many statements and reports. I have a set of crappy notes that the boss paid someone $500 to write, but they are are just scraps of info...like what you would write down just as a footnote...not training a newbie. Ian example is a tax report where I go to 7 different monthly statements to pull data, but I can't figure out what statement provides what detail because there are 12 of them and each is 15 pages long so I spend time hunting for things instead of being told what goes where. The boss has flown through some of the reports when she is in but wants to go FAST because she wants to leave...so she is not teaching me anything and does not know how to answer any questions. She also listens to music and sings during this "training" Tomorrow she is back from another vacation ... she has had 5 vacations since February... I want her to sit at my desk and I will pull up reports and ( ... )

tell them the info is incomplete and it forces you to guess and play detective
when it could be much simpler if they just were more specific
ask them where and how to find the connections,
what do i know. i'm no accountant.
yes, they need to show you where things are, so you're not left guessing
checks are antiques, some people are still attached to them
for sentimental reasons. they make you feel like you still have control
over the liquid money system
that said, they are evidence that the exchange was a physical transaction
i still want to talk to a bank clerk when i do banking
at least there's somebody else to blame ))
i don't trust computer systems
i'm old school, i guess
instead of crappy notes
you could request they be works of art ))
that would fix 'em
cheers
