"Take off her binder! Take off her binder!"*

Do you have movies you can't help but watch no matter how many times you've seen them? For me they're musicals and "old" movies (50s, 60s time period). We didn't watch a lot of movies growing up, and even when my parents broke down and bought a TV, we only watched television on special occasions. Even though I know I missed out on television shows growing up, I'm not at all unhappy about it. In fact, I've come to appreciate not watching them, because I'm a bit more discerning with television shows and I have a deep appreciation for reading. I won't let myself watch more than I watch now, and if I decide to add a show to my list something else must come off. It prevents me from being glued to the television.

TCM showed The Trouble with Angels Sunday. I saw this movie countless times over my teen years. My mom loved this movie, along with its sequel, Where Angels go Trouble Follows. They both made me want to be a nun, which is amusing because it's mainly about the teenage girls and their "rebellious" times. I always feel a bit more holy after watching them. But, I have to say, the first movie has a first-rate script and quality acting. While they might feel like silly girl movies, character development is key in both of them. The interactions between characters are well thought out, and the facial expressions speak volumes. I hope no one decides to remake these movies; they'd ruin them.

*For those of you who haven't seen the movie, binder = brassiere.
