Mary and I bought a hanging lamp to go in our newly decorated apartment. We figured we'd been here for about a year and a half, it's about time we moved in. My father loaned me his drill set and stud finder, gave me a lesson on how to find a stud, and sent me on my merry way. Well, I can't find the stud. It has to exist...well, I hope it exists, but I can't find it. And the stud finder is working...but there aren't any studs in that part of the ceiling. I have 3 small holes in my ceiling, and I don't want to put any more in the ceiling for no apparent reason. Grrrr.
I gave up on trying to sync my headset with my phone and just took it into the store. This was a big step for me, because I can normally figure stuff like this out, and when I don't, I have friends that help me and I'm set after that. I mean, I got pretty far in setting up my wireless stuff, and I just recently unhooked and rehooked our cable/TV/VCR/DVD/router and hooked them up again. But, the phone and headset weren't acting the way the directions said. So, I ignored the directions and clicked a ton of buttons, and no luck. The guys told me to go into the store, find a guy, and lean over just right and say, "I'm not good with electronics, can you help me?" Fortunately for the Verizon guy, I had on a shirt with glittery lace on it, which I'm sure he enjoyed. He took care of my phone issues immediately! Now I can make calls with my headset which is fantastic. I'm useless on the road without it.
Today was my mom's last radiation treatment. Yay! Now we're playing the waiting game.
