Nothing beats a long--but entertaining--day at work like a hot shower, a hot meal, and a hot mug of tea with a good book to read. The hot meal is almost ready, and the tea is soon to follow. I need a moment to relax, and feel clean, clear of mind. That is why I am updating now before I sleep. It's raining outside, and it's very peaceful. I had a pretty good day at work. Working with Jessica is so much more different than working with Bekah, or Becky, or even when Rachel--who visited today, and Jessica(Lesbian) is in love even though Misha(Rachel's girlfriend) is in the picture--was working with us.
We had a lot of fun. We convinced one of the new girls that my name was Lily, and that I was from Africa. A fun group of guys came in, and we were joking about how tall all of them were, like it was some club requirement that you had to be six foot tall to be in their crew. They were pretty fun--not obnoxious like some groups of college guys that come in. >_> They were cute, too. Just sayin'.
Steve went out for the day, but was kind enough to come back to see me before I went to work. My day is his evening, so he relaxed with a cup of tea and chatted with me before I ran--almost late--for work. I told him one of my super-not-so-secret-but-really-quirky-facts: I've never drank Earl Grey. We discussed our love of tea, and I eventually told him how singing I'm a Little Teapot at a Cold Stone Creamery Audition landed me the job, and how I want to collect teapots as a hobby. I'm still proud of that, because sacrificing my dignity to sing that not only landed me a job, but it saved me from being evicted.
There is a light, white Gardenia scent floating around in my room thanks to some lotion I found. It's so soothing and makes me more sleepy because I enjoy the flirt of the scent as it drifts around. I am reading a few more Chapters of my Vampirate novel and then heading to bed. The rain, the tea, and the meal along with the scent are working at putting me down for the night.
